Hey, I'm Simar!

I’m a product designer based in Seattle, WA studying Human Centered Design & Engineering and Data Science at the University of Washington.

My love for design began early, from designing a sewing kit for a 2nd grade toy fair to countless DIY projects. Now, I aim to better product design by leveraging data analytics and science to enhance usability and accessibility.

a bit more about me!

What have I been up to recently?

Jigx - Designed a code-free mobile frontend development platform serving as a pivotal tool for new enterprise customers to onboard as a part of an ongoing product design internship.

MaxXposure - Designed and developed a comprehensive web app for college coaches to view and evaluate Ford Sports Performance athletes as prospective college athletes.

Legis - Designed an app for Gen-Z that transforms government legislation into easily digestible ideas and promotes public advocacy (the project won 1st out of 27 teams at the UW Figmathon!)

HuskyADAPT - Used design testing and prototyping techniques to create an affordable 3D-printed wireless switch to create more opportunities for users with physical limitations.

ActiveRCM - Designed a dashboard interface for Revenue Cycle Management platform that increased user engagement and onboarding rates by 30% as a freelance product design project.

When I'm not on Figma, you can find me...

Traveling and hiking! Fun fact, I'm a junior ranger at over half of the United States National Parks and plan to visit them all :)

Listening to good music and going to concerts! This past year, I listened to over 60,000 minutes of music on Spotify — here were some of my favorite songs:
